Laboratory Technical Assistant
Individual must possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) along with one to three month's related laboratory experience and/or training including phlebotomy. A general understanding of CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations is preferred. Schedule will include mostly day shifts, Monday-Friday. Essential duties include but are not limited to: Collection of blood and other specimens; Processing of all laboratory specimens to include centrifuging, separating, measuring, storing, and distribution to appropriate testing areas or packaging for transport to reference laboratories. Operate, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and equipment; Assist with analysis, collection, and maintenance of records as required.
